Our daily schedule is based on a system consisting of three different types of activity.

  • Daily Routine activities are those that are administered at the same time every day.  These include meals, snacks, and:

          -The morning greeting: During this time, patrons will be called to a short meeting with a purpose to update them on the schedule for the day. A  bulletin board will be used, posting the time and an explanation of each meal and activity planned for the day.  This information will remain up for the entirety of the day as a reference for the patrons. 

          -Motion time: A designated time every day will be dedicated to a motion time designed to get the patrons "up and moving". The activities will vary and include light stretching to music, bowling with plastic balls and pins, tossing and catching a light bean bag or ball, batting a balloon back and forth, etc.  Each activity will be closely monitored and supervised as well as be designed to be interactive with others.

 

  • Day of the Week activities are those that are scheduled on a rotating weekly calendar.  In doing so, each day of the week is designated a specific type of activity that is designed to be enjoyable.  The current schedule is as follows:

          -Make a Craft Monday

          -Bingo Tuesday

          -Board Game Wednesday

          -Big Band Thursday  (Patrons listen to classic "Big Band" music while enjoying a cup of coffee or juice) 

          -Classic Movie Friday

 

  • Specials are those activities that vary with the day, month, or season.  Each day will have an hour dedicated to a specific Special.  Some examples include:

          -Puzzles

          -Additional Crafts

          -Scrapbooking

          -Storytime/Read Aloud of a Book

          -Sing Alongs/ Karaoke

          -Additional Game Times; Board/Cards

          -Beauty Shop (painting nails, combing hair, etc.)

          -Baking (ex. cookie cut-outs, decorating cookies/cupcakes)

          -Holiday Parties

          -Crochet

          -Crossword Puzzles / Soduko
